Wow Edge Magazine Tells Gamers Not To Buy Nuts Until Available On Bigger Screens
Don＊t get me wrong 每 I like Edge Magazine.
Mostly solid writers, interesting editorial pieces, and that page layout 每 gorgeous. 10/10 for artistic flair.
But when you＊re wrong you＊re wrong. And when being wrong effects readers who are looking for advice on how to spend the dollars they＊ve budgeted for gaming, and also the developers (in this case, studio Noodlecake) who have worked their arses off making the game being written about, then something needs to be said.
I＊m not writing this as an Apple fanboy (although I am one), I＊m writing it as a fan of quality reporting and facts.

Judging from that statement, it＊s clear that Edge Magazine knows of the existence of Apple Arcade, it just doesn＊t seem to know what Apple Arcade is, or offers. Is Edge not paying its writers enough to warrant research?
If you＊re reading this site 每 The Apple TV Gaming Blog 每 chances are pretty high you know more about Apple Arcade than Edge.
Apple＊s subscription service makes all of its games available on iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and macOS. This is one of the big selling points of the service. The games can be played on the smaller, portable screens of iPhones and iPads, and on the larger ones of TVs (via Apple TV) and Macs.
Does Edge not know this? It＊s not the first time this has happened. The magazine printed the same release platform in a previous issue when reviewing Alba, another Apple Arcade title, noting its availability only on iOS. And Edge is not alone 每 Game Informer Magazine also printed in a previous issue that Alba is available on iOS.
※The interface has clearly been designed for PC, and its small-screen incarnation doesn＊t come close to taking advantage of the portable format,§ Edge goes on to write about Nuts.
There is no mention of iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS. So gamers would read the article and be left with the incorrect impression that Nuts is only available for iOS.
You get it. I won＊t belabour the point any further for fear of diluting it.
Ignorance? Apathy? Who knows?
In a nutshell, these big mainstream gaming media outlets need to get these things right. If they don＊t, it negatively impacts gamers and developers.
